Tumor Registrar Regular part
time/hours are flexible! Doylestown Hospital
seeks a Tumor Registrar for the Oncology
Department to establish and maintain the
efficient operation of a tumor registry in
accordance to the internal and external
standards.
Job Description:
The candidate identifies and
maintains all cases of malignant disease as
well as yearly patient follow-up and timely
reporting of information as required by the
Commission on Cancer.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of one
year Tumor Registry experience in a hospital
setting. Must be knowledgeable in medical
terminology, anatomy and physiology.
Computer, report generation, and statistical
analysis required. Excellent writing and
verbal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
or equivalent experience preferred. Must
acquire CTR within appropriate timeframe
based on recommendations for the National
Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA); not
more than 2 years from date of hire.
Education Qualifications:
Min Education: H.S.
Diploma/Equivalent, Associate’s Degree
